As the West’s most respected travel and lifestyle authority, Sunset Magazine is partnering with another western icon – Visit the Santa Ynez Valley – to present Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley.
The four-day, six town celebration of food, wine, and more takes place September 26th – September 29th across the towns of Solvang, Santa Ynez, Los Alamos, Los Olivos, Ballard, and Buellton. Among the many highlights of Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley include curated wine tastings, chef-driven long table dinners, lunches and activities, and events hosted by Sunset editors, all celebrating the many special offerings of this powerhouse California wine country destination.

When you put on a party smack dab in the middle of Los Olivos Wine Country, under the shade of tents, you better be prepared to “bring it” with your BBQ, beer and wine offerings.
Featuring many of our Valley’s finest wines and cold beers as well as our signature Cadillac Margaritas, we promise you won’t go hungry or thirsty while at our party.
The afternoon will showcase live music performances by Blue Breeze Brand, silent auction, an exciting live auction, and a special presentation by Santa Ynez Valley Community Outreach Executive Director Pam Gnekow.
The George Barris Batmobile will be on site!

Introducing the NEW 2024 Los Olivos Wine Festival
The inaugural Los Olivos Wine Festival invites you to celebrate the makers behind the wines! Located in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley wine country, the Los Olivos Wine Festival is an afternoon celebrating the best wineries in Los Olivos .
This event was formerly the Wine Round Up Passport, and as we host our inaugural celebration this year with a new name we welcome you to join us on Saturday, October 12th from 1 - 4 pm.
Held in downtown Los Olivos, in the gardens of St. Marks-in-the-Valley Church guests will enjoy as local winemakers/families showcase their globally recognized wines from Los Olivos, tasty bites, and live music entertainment. This is a must attend event within the town’s charming Day in the County celebration!
Featuring a small-town parade, pumpkin carving, apple pie contest, scarecrows, live music, beer garden, food trucks, and more – It is worth spending the whole day soaking in our idyllic wine country town.

The third annual SYV Holiday Lights Festival, hosted by the Santa Ynez Valley Botanic Garden, will take place over the course of 3 weekends in December! Dates this year are December 6th - 7th; 13th - 15th and 20th - 22nd.
Guests can purchase tickets on select dates and times between 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. (the last showing at 8 p.m.).
Guests can enter when the gates open at 5 p.m. regardless of when your scheduled Lights Festival ticket is valid for, but you can't enter the Enchanted Garden until your time slot is called. You are welcome to visit Santa, our Market Place, play in the falling snow and more! There are also small mechanical rides for children, including the mini Polar Express (tickets for rides are purchased separately).
This will be a one-of-a-kind lighted display, an immersive experience in the Garden at night to get everyone into the Holiday Spirit! The Santa Ynez Botanic Garden is located at the West end of River View Park.
This all-ages event will not only allow guests to stroll the Santa Ynez Valley Botanic Garden through a maze of lights, it will also feature pictures with Santa, Live Reindeer (on select days), Falling Snow, Christmas Carolers (on select days), Merchant and Food Vendors, and Beer and Wine for adults.
This has become the NEW Holiday Family Tradition here in the Santa Ynez Valley!
General Admission Tickets: $25 (13 and over)
Includes admission to the Enchanted Garden Holiday Lights Festival. Guests can enter when the gates open at 5 p.m. regardless of when your scheduled Lights Festival ticket is valid for.
Children Admission (12 and under): $10
Includes admission to the Enchanted Garden Holiday Lights Festival. Children 2 and under are FREE!
All ticket holders are welcome to enter at 5 p.m. regardless your time slot and invited to enjoy the festivities at the Holiday Market the moment the event starts. Treat yourselves to a number of delicious options of food and drinks, music, entertainment and merchants.
